OU fraternity suspended, sorority disciplined as investigations continue

The international executive offices of both chapters chose the discipline. The Delta Upsilon and Delta Gamma international offices did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday.

OU Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services and the Office of Student Conduct are conducting separate investigations into the Greek chapters.

“Upon the conclusion of the investigations, the university will handle as appropriate,” OU said in a statement.

The university did not respond to questions about the reasons for the fraternity’s suspension and the sorority’s discipline.

Delta Upsilon landed on emergency suspension in 2018. All chapter activities ceased during the suspension period. The OU Daily later reported the fraternity chapter violated the university’s hazing and alcohol policy.
