Fast Affiliate Ratings

Total Viewers:
Fox: 8.12 million, CBS: 4.44, ABC: 3.67, NBC: 3.24, CW: 428,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 2.1 rating/15 share, ABC: 0.5/ 4, NBC: 0.5/ 3, CBS: 0.4/ 3, CW: 0.1/ 0

In season premiere news, NBC’s tired “The Blacklist” remained just that, with the ninth season-opener at 2.99 million viewers (#4) and a 0.4 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 (#4) at 8 p.m. That led into “Law & Order: SVU” (Viewers: #3, 3.73 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.6/ 4 at 9 p.m.) and sophomore “Law & Order: Organized Crime” (Viewers: #3, 3.02 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 4 at 10 p.m.), which were both at typical fast affiliate levels.

Tops for the night was Fox’s Thursday Night Football (Denver at Cleveland last night) at an estimated 8.12 million viewers and a 2.1/15 in adults 18-49 in primetime. Results for any live sporting event, of course, are approximate.

Elsewhere, ABC had a typical Thursday as follows:

ABC/Thursday
8:00 p.m. “Station 19”
Viewers: 4.48 million (#3), A18-49: 0.6/ 4 (#2)

9:00 p.m. “Grey’s Anatomy”
Viewers: 3.78 million (#3), A18-49: 0.6/ 4 (#2t)

10:00 p.m. “Blue Sky”
Viewers: 2.76 million (#3), A18-49: 0.3/ 2)

And CBS fared as follows:

CBS/Thursday
8:00 p.m. “Young Sheldon”
Viewers: 6.11 million (#2), A18-49: 0.6/ 4 (#2t)

8:30 p.m. “United States of Al”
Viewers: 4.29 million (#3), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#3)

9:00 p.m. “Ghosts”
Viewers: 5.08 million (#2), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#4)

9:30 p.m. “B Positive”
Viewers: 3.73 million (#2t), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#4)

10:00 p.m. “Bull”
Viewers: 3.72 million (#2), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3t)

Some observations about CBS:
-“Young Sheldon” is no “The Big Bang Theory”, but in today’s fractured marketplace this performance has to be considered a positive.
-“Ghosts” just earned its full season episode order.
-Sophomore comedies “United States of Al” and “B Positive”, both from Chuck Lorre, are basically time period filler.
-Drama “Bull” should be calling it quits next spring.

The CW capped off the evening with the season finale of “Coroner” (Viewers: 511,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 0 at 8 p.m.) and “Legacies” (Viewers: 344,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
